Feast Geelong ‘Not-the-Fyansford’ 5 km Virtual Race
One first timer was amongst the 77 runners who participated in the virtual running of the Feast Geelong5km sealed handicap. This week, those who left their run until early Sunday morning, enjoyed ideal conditions. The pace was really on with the shorter distance seeing the top ten placegetters all bettering their handicaps. It was long time member, David Simpson who triumphed from Barney Ellis and Kim Wright. Simpson, a 360 club run member, who has been battling injury throughout the season produced a sizzling run to win by six seconds from Ellis who also improved markedly on his recent performances. Catherine Allison who is still leading the Consistency Award was the fastest female with promising junior Tom Hockley-Samon the fastest male.
