Move Beyond ‘Not-the-Ocean Grove Riverside’ 8 km Virtual Race
Three first timers were among the 87 runners participating in the virtual running of the Move Beyond 8 km sealed handicap. This event was a replacement for the Ocean Grove Riverside race which was run for the first time last season. It was former handicapper Russell Dmytrenko, who has recently returned to the club after a thirteen year absence, who won convincingly from Julie Elkin who last year reached her 400 club run milestone. Their efforts were rewarded with a voucher from our generous sponsor, Move Beyond. There was then a substantial gap to Ken Walker and Luke Considine who were only separated by one second. In his first virtual race, Tom Hockley-Samon was the fastest male with Hayley Newman continuing her unbeaten status in the female division.
