East Geelong Discount Drug Store ‘Not-the-Inverleigh’ 8 km Virtual Race
A total of 99 runners including three first timers took part in the East Geelong Discount Drug Store 8 km virtual handicap. Numbers were down, perhaps discouraged by the challenge of completing a tougher course. Noted hill runner, Sean Thompson, took out the sealed handicap from Steve Welsh and Susan Andrews. Thompson’s win replicated his success in the real Inverleigh race held in 2017. Hayley Newman and Grant Simpson were again fastest of their genders.
